Privacy Notice
How we use and share the details you give us
Ecolt Energy Private Limited, Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh – 522601.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. What we collect, and where
We only collect what you type into our forms. We do not ask you to create an account on this website.
- Free consultation pop-up (all pages): name, PIN code, WhatsApp number, monthly electricity bill range, and whether the property is a home or a business.
- Contact page: name, mobile number, property type, bill range and address.
- Residential page quote form: name, phone number and bill range.
- Finance page: name, mobile number, whether you are a homeowner, business or other, and your city.
- Facebook and Instagram lead forms: if you fill in an Ecolt form shown inside Facebook or Instagram, the details you enter (such as name, phone number, city and bill range) are collected through Meta and passed to us. Meta handles them under its own privacy policy; we use them only as described below.
- Careers page: name, phone number, role, location and the resume (PDF) you upload.
- Where you came from: when you send an enquiry, we also save the page you were on and, if you arrived from an ad, a link or another website, the campaign tags in that link (for example utm_source) and the name of the referring website. We use this only to learn which ads and posts bring enquiries.
2. Why we use it
- To call or WhatsApp you with a quote, a site-visit appointment or advice on your solar enquiry, and to answer finance questions.
- To consider your job application and contact you about it (Careers form only).
We do not use your details for anything unrelated to the enquiry you made.
3. Where it is stored and who sees it
Form submissions are saved in a secured cloud database (Supabase). Only Ecolt Energy staff who handle enquiries, sales or hiring can see them, through our internal system. Resumes are stored in a file store used only for applications.
4. Who we may share it with
We share your details only when needed to do what you asked for:
- Your electricity distribution company (DISCOM) and the national PM Surya Ghar portal, if you go ahead with an installation or apply for the subsidy or net metering.
- A bank or lender, if you choose a solar loan through us.
- Installation crews or vendors, only the details needed to visit your site and install or service your system.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only for forms you fill in there.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your details.
5. Third-party services this website uses
- Home page solar estimate: to show an estimate for your area, your browser contacts ipwho.is (approximate location from your IP address) and Open-Meteo (weather and sunlight data). If your browser asks for your precise location and you allow it, that is used for the same estimate. You can decline, and the page still works.
- Fonts and scripts: Google Fonts, jsDelivr and the Tailwind CDN load fonts and code. These providers can see your IP address when they serve files.
- Instagram: the Projects page embeds Instagram posts. Instagram may set its own cookies when those load.
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a customer: up to 24 months.
- Job applications: up to 12 months.
- Customers: for the warranty and maintenance period and as long as the law requires for our accounts and tax records.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can tell us to stop calling or messaging you. Write to contact@ecoltenergy.com or call +91 83411 13782. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
8. Cookies and browser storage
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. This website keeps two small items in your browser, on your own device:
- Session storage: the page you landed on and any campaign tags (see section 1). It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Local storage: the times of your recent form submissions on this device, used to block automated spam. It is not sent to us.
Embedded content such as Google Maps and Instagram posts, and fonts and scripts from other providers (section 5), may set their own cookies when they load. We do not control those cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
9. Changes
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and its date.
